Treaty Day
July 3rd is Treaty Day
Treaty Day marks the 1868 Fort Bridger Treaty signing day on the Wind River Indian Reservation—a permanent, non-negotiable promise of secure boundaries, abundant hunting rights, and Tribal wellbeing. WRTBI is stepping up to achieve that original vision.
Support Our Herd
We are committed to supporting land rematriation through Buffalo restoration, food sovereignty, youth education, and community revitalization.
To celebrate 10 years of Buffalo rematriation on the Wind River Indian Reservation, we are working to raise $10,000 dollars this Treaty Day.
Your donation today directly contributes to this work, putting resources into Buffalo and land return, cultural education, and sustainable food systems. Help us create abundance.
Every dollar donated on July 3rd will be doubled, in thanks to our generous supporters Randy & Richard Mathey and Kirk Martin.
“We can protect wildlife and our water. We can feed ourselves and take care of our people. That’s self-determination. That’s food sovereignty in action and Buffalo are a big part of that. Buffalo is also a treaty right.”
– Jason Baldes
